Madelen Salter, a Jacksonville business and community leader whose roles have included service on the JAX Chamber board of directors, announced Feb. 24 that she had taken an executive position at W.W. Gay Mechanical Contract Inc.
In a LinkedIn post, Salter said she is senior vice president of external affairs for the Jacksonville-based HVAC and plumbing company.
“In this role, I’ll be leading our external strategy for building and strengthening engagement with key external stakeholders — including government entities, community leaders, industry partners, and advocacy groups — helping position W.W. Gay for long-term growth and meaningful impact in the communities we serve,” the post read.
In addition to the JAX Chamber board, Salter serves on the Jacksonville Transportation Authority board, the JAXUSA Partnership Policy Council and as chair of the 2025-26 JAXUSA Partnership Business Development Committee, according to her bio on the JTA website.
She also serves on boards for Leadership Jacksonville, San Marco Preservation Society and the ULI Center for Leadership.
Her business roles have included market president at Office Images and executive vice president of sales for the company when its name was Office Environments & Services, according to her LinkedIn profile.
