Duos Technologies Group Inc. said Feb. 27 that Doug Recker will take over the role of chief executive officer, effective April 1.
Current CEO Chuck Ferry will remain on the board of directors.
Recker joined Jacksonville-based Duos in June 2024 to run a new subsidiary to provide artificial intelligence data centers in rural markets. He was promoted to president in September 2025.
Duos, which had been a railroad technology company, expanded with the AI subsidiary and another new business to provide energy services in 2024.

Ferry has been serving in the dual role of CEO of Jacksonville-based APR Energy, which signed a deal with Duos in November 2024 to deploy and operate a fleet of mobile gas turbines.
That deal was expected to provide Duos with $42 million in revenue over two years.
In addition to Recker’s promotion to CEO, Duos announced an agreement to provide services to a data center company called Hydra Host which it said could generate $176 million in revenue over three years.
“With secured power, rapid deployment capabilities, and expanding strategic partnerships, we believe Duos is well positioned to pursue high-value infrastructure opportunities,” Recker said in a news release.
“Our focus remains on disciplined expansion, capital-efficient growth, and delivering sustainable long-term value for our shareholders.”
