Jacksonville-based Crowley is consolidating its business structure with the creation of two divisions led by promoted executives of the privately held maritime, energy and logistics company.

The company is realigning under a Shipping and Logistics Division and an Energy Division, it announced in a Jan. 6 news release.

James Fowler will serve as executive vice president and division president of the Shipping and Logistics Division, which combines Crowley’s logistics, land transportation and global ship management businesses.

Kollin Fencil is executive vice president and division president of the Energy Division, which includes Crowley Fuels in Alaska, liquefied natural gas and advanced energy solutions plus tank farm operations, engineering services, ship assistance and offshore tugs and barges.

Fowler joined Crowley in 2023 as senior vice president and general manager for the Crowley Shipping business unit. In the release, he said the realignment would “generate new growth through safe, reliable, and efficient supply chain solutions that are centered on consistently exceeding the expectations of our customers.”

Fencil has led Crowley’s Fuels business unit as senior vice president and general manager since 2023.

He said in the release that the new structure would allow Crowley to scale and innovate more nimbly.

“For decades, we have supported the diverse energy needs of the U.S. market coast to coast, and from Alaska to Puerto Rico,” he said. “This realignment takes that history of dedication and innovation further by positioning use to meet our customers’ new and evolving energy needs — from traditional fuels to LNG and other advanced energies — with integrated capabilities and a commitment to operational excellence.”

Fowler and Fencil will report to Crowley Chief Operating Officer Megan Davidson.

Crowley, a global ship owner and operator, services 36 nations and island territories.
