SoFresh, with two locations open in Northeast Florida in Ortega Park and Durbin Park, is working toward one in Nocatee.
The city is reviewing a permit application for RPC General Contractors Inc. of Atlantic Beach to build-out a 1,373-square-foot space at 75 Irondale Road, Unit 105, in Jacksonville.
The project in the Marketplace at Nocatee shopping center has an estimated project cost of $374,734.
The space is one up to a total of 12 potential storefronts in the center, anchored by Publix Super Markets Inc.
SoFresh says it sells healthy food and prepares meals to order that include gluten-free, keto, paleo, vegan, vegetarian and kids’ food.
Its menu at sofresh.com shows bowls, salads, wraps, quesadillas, sides, sweets, smoothies, cold-pressed juices and other beverages.

Proteins include ahi tuna, chicken, salmon, shrimp, sirloin steak and tofu.
SoFresh says it makes its sauces and dressings in-house.
The two existing area locations open daily at 10:30 a.m.
The Durbin restaurant at 505 Durbin Pavilion Drive, Suite 101, in The Pavilion at Durbin Park in Saint Johns closes daily at 8:30 p.m.
The Ortega SoFresh at 4495 Roosevelt Blvd., No. 308, closes at 9 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8:30 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
SoFresh.com says two locations are coming soon in Nocatee and in Silverleaf at 1985 Silverleaf Parkway, Suite 107, in St. Augustine.

It also indicates two more locations coming soon to Jacksonville, but does not specify locations.
Tampa-based SoFresh says it has more than 40 locations open or on the way. It franchises.
The website says Florida native John Williams founded SoFresh in 2013 in Tampa. Clay Donato, who grew up in Sarasota, partnered with Williams in 2020.
Both live in Tampa with their wives and children.
In 2018, with six corporate locations in Tampa and Sarasota, the brand began exploring franchising after a customer expressed interest in bringing SoFresh to Pittsburgh.
That first franchised location opened in 2019 in downtown Pittsburgh.
In 2025, SoFresh grew to 23 locations and 12 more in development.
The site shows 20 locations in Florida, three in Pennsylvania and units coming soon to Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Tennessee.
