The state Supreme Court, in court orders issued Oct. 11, 2025 through Dec. 25, 2025, disciplined 11 attorneys, disbarring two, suspending six and reprimanding three.

Two practice in Northeast Florida.

•  James Russell Collins, 100 Southpark Blvd., Suite 100, in St. Augustine, public reprimand by publication and by personal appearance before the board of governors of The Florida Bar, attendance at Ethics School, an office procedures and record-keeping analysis by The Florida Bar’s Diversion/Discipline Consultation Service and payment of The Florida Bar’s costs.

The sanction was effective immediately following a Nov. 26 court order.

An investigation determined that Collins failed to provide his clients with competent representation and adequate communication.

He abandoned a breach of contract claim that was the only basis for an award of attorney fees and did so without consulting his clients.

He also failed to communicate with his clients after trial and, as a result, was unaware that the court had entered a final judgment in favor of his clients. Additionally, he failed to notify and withheld the check issued to satisfy the judgment for several months.

•  Joseph Anthony Gasparro, P.O. Box 350196 in Jacksonville, is suspended until further order of the court, effective 30 days following a Dec. 12 court order.

Gasparro has multiple complaints alleging negligence, lack of communication and lack of progress in cases.

He failed to respond to the complaints and to an order to show cause issued by the court.
