Northeast Florida’s second Habit Burger & Grill is scheduled to open Jan. 28, according to a company news release.
The restaurant is at 9171 Baymeadows Road, east of Interstate 95 at Western Way. It is across Baymeadows Road from Chipotle Mexican Grill.
The California-based company opened its first Jacksonville location in October at 13559 Beach Blvd. in a former Bojangles.
A third is planned for 15022 Max Leggett Parkway near Jacksonville International Airport. No opening date has been announced for that location.
Preopening activities are planned for CharClub members and patrons with the Habit Burger & Grill mobile app.
They are:
• On Jan. 24 the first 200 customers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. will receive a free Charburger, fries and drink.
• On Jan. 26-27, the first 200 guests from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. will receive a free meal.
• On opening day Jan. 28, the first 100 guests will receive a free Habit beach tote filled with gift items. The first 500 guests will receive a "passport" valued at over $20 toward future visits.
Habit Burger & Grill cooks to order over open flame grills.
The menu includes versions of its Charburger, chicken, steak, tuna and vegetable sandwiches along with salads.
Most items are priced under $12.
Hours for the Baymeadows location are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
