The city issued a permit Jan. 23 for Boston-based Demma Aesthetics to build-out at One Riverside, the apartment and retail development at 1 Riverside Ave. in the Downtown Northbank Brooklyn district.

Custom Builders by Grubbs Inc. of Neptune Beach is the contractor the $274,600 project at 1 Riverside Ave., Unit 2001. The 1,096-square-foot space is in an end unit of an 8,065-square-foot building.

Building 2000 is at the entrance to One Riverside, with Whole Foods Market in development as Building 1000 on the opposite side of the entry road.

Demma Aesthetics says it offers services from “advanced injectables to everyday beauty services.”

The company says it brings “approachable luxury and trusted medical oversight together under one roof, helping our clients look and feel their best at every stage of life.”

The demma-medspa.com site says licensed medical professionals perform or supervise every treatment.

The site says it has flagship locations in Boston and in West Palm Beach with a clinic opening soon in Jacksonville.

Demma’s site shows it offers facials, injectables, IV treatments, hair restoration and brow and lash services.

The Colliers Urban Division, which represents One Riverside developer Fuqua Development, said in October that it has fully leased the retail space.

Along with Whole Foods in Building 1000, the retailers in Building 2000 will include Demma, The Salty Donut and Solidcore fitness, Colliers said.

One Riverside comprises the grocery store and retail building along with apartments by TriBridge Residential. Atlanta-based TriBridge will add a riverfront restaurant for Norikawa Japanese cuisine from Pearl Hospitality Group.

The city issued a permit Aug. 4 for Metrico Building Group LLC of Miami to build-out 2,104 square feet of space in Building 2000 for Solidcore in Suite 215 at a project cost of $300,000.

For Building 2000, the city issued a permit in October 2024 for Young Contracting/SE Inc. to build the 8,000-square-foot shell.

Fuqua Development is developing the retail property as Fuqua BCDC One Riverside Project Owner LLC.

The city permitted construction of the Whole Foods shell building in October 2024 at a job cost of almost $1.21 million.

That was followed by a permit Sept. 10 for build-out of the 38,300-square-foot store shell at a project cost of $7.5 million.

Whole Foods has not announced an opening date, but that appears to be in 2026.
