V Pizza can move forward on a two-story restaurant in Durbin Park with an outdoor bar and seating.
St. Johns County issued building permits for the project’s shell and patio Jan. 20 at a project cost of $2.07 million. It is planned to be 8,274 square feet.
The project site is at 150 Longleaf Pine Parkway west of St. Johns Parkway in a developing center anchored by the Borland Groover Durbin Crossing Endoscopy Center.
Borland Groover owns the land through Durbin Crossing Properties LLC.

Matthews | DCCM of St. Augustine is the civil engineer. Jacksonville-based Fasanelli Construction Inc. is the contractor.
It will be the 13th V Pizza location across three states and the third in the county.
The V Pizza chain, which uses wood-burning ovens, operates seven restaurants in Northeast Florida, one each in Gainesville, Orlando and St. Simons, Georgia, and two in North Carolina, according to vpizza.com.
The Carolina stores are franchises.
V Pizza launched its concept in spring 2014 at 1406 Hendricks Ave. in San Marco.
In addition to pizza, its menu also includes pasta, salad, wings and dessert.

According to vpizza.com, the “V” in its name stands for “veloce,” which is Italian for fast.
“Our 900-degree ovens cook your pizzas in as little as 90 seconds — now that’s fast,” the website says.
