The Brooks Brothers clothing store in St. Johns Town Center is closing.
The chain announced the closure in an email to customers. Its last day is Jan. 26.
Performance clothing retailer Vuori is taking over the space. The city issued a permit Dec. 10 for an almost $1.3 million tenant build-out.
Management Resource Systems Inc. of High Point, North Carolina, is the contractor for the 5,031-square-foot project at 4812 River City Drive, Unit 131.
Brooks Brothers sells clothing for men and women that focuses on “traditions and craftsmanship that have defined over 200 years of American style,” according to brooksbrothers.com.
In Northeast Florida, the Brooks Brothers Factory Store remains open in the St. Augustine Premium Outlets.

Vuori.com says Vuori “makes premium performance apparel inspired by the active Coastal California lifestyle; an integration of fitness, surf, sport, and art. We’re evolving the definition of traditional activewear.”
It sells men’s and women’s apparel and accessories.
Vuori is based in Carlsbad, California, with almost 130 locations internationally.
The store site shows 117 U.S. locations in 27 states and Washington, D.C.
The seven Florida sites are Aventura, Boca Raton, Coral Gables, Miami, Orlando, Palm Beach Gardens and Sarasota.
The site shows 11 international stores.
