Downtown Vision Inc. announced Jan. 29 that Allan Iosue has been appointed the organization’s board chair, effective Jan. 1.
Iosue is the director of strategic accounts at The Haskell Co. in Jacksonville.
He succeeds Paul Davison, who was board chair for two years.
“We are honored to welcome Allan Iosue as our new Board Chair of Downtown Vision as we continue our mission to help Downtown Jacksonville thrive,” DVI CEO Jake Gordon said in a news release.

“Downtown Jacksonville continues to experience incredible momentum and I’m honored to step into this role at such a pivotal time,” Iosue said in the release.
“I look forward to working alongside the board, staff members and community partners to support thoughtful growth, strengthen our urban core and help Downtown reach its full potential.”
At Haskell, Iosue focuses on business development and serves as a governmental liaison.
DVI said Iosue brings more than 30 years of experience in the design and construction industry and has played a role in Downtown projects, including Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville, Veterans Memorial Park, Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s Regional Transportation Center and Riverfront Plaza.
A member of the DVI board for six years, Iosue now leads the organization’s 31-member board of directors.
Established in 2000, DVI’s mission includes promoting Downtown locally and beyond, organizing events and activities to invigorate the urban core and providing maintenance, trash collection, security and hospitality through its Downtown Ambassador program.
The nonprofit is funded mostly by Downtown property owners through a property tax self-assessment.
