When men are at the point of reaching out for mental healthcare, they don’t want to wait months for an appointment or be bothered with cumbersome paperwork. The process of establishing care should be smooth, efficient and make sense.

At Men’s Mental Health our team offers new patients an appointment time within a week and employs an entirely paperless process. Guys can choose to be seen in person in our upscale San Marco office, or virtually from their own home if that’s what they prefer. Through a partnership with Baptist Health, we use the electronic record system Epic with the MyChart patient portal. This means that your medical records at other hospital systems are already available to us and we can communicate with your other doctors. No faxes, no hassle.

While other clinics push patients through for quick ‘med check’ visits, we spend time with our patients. Each new patient visit is 60 minutes and follow-ups are 30 minutes, allowing us the opportunity to get to know our patients and figure out the best treatment plan. We specialize in tailored medication management, but also have a wide network of talk therapists to whom we can refer patients as well.

We treat patients for a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, alcohol and drug abuse, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, sleep disorders, gambling/eating/gaming/pornography addictions, anger and others. Medications are often helpful to treat these conditions, but don’t need to become a permanent part of a man’s life and we always aim to use the lowest effective dosages to minimize side effects. In addition to discussing medications, we’ll talk about how nutrition and exercise affect mental health and even encourage you to lift a few weights before your appointment in our complementary gym.

Mental health concerns can affect a guy’s personal life, professional life, financial health and physical health. We’re here to help you get through it when you’re ready.
