Daily’s is seeking Clay County approval to develop a Middleburg location combining a gas station, convenience store and car wash along Knight Boxx Road.
The project is proposed at 240 Knight Boxx Road on vacant land owned by Daily’s parent company, First Coast Energy LLC. The land is off County Road 220, south of Old Jennings Road and north of the Safe Animal Shelter.
The proposed project requires rezoning.
Plans submitted to the county show a fueling station with six pump islands and 12 fueling positions, along with a retail store and an on-site car wash.
The Clay County Planning Commission is scheduled to review the proposal April 9.
Daily’s, a Jacksonville-based brand, operates convenience stores and fueling stations across Northeast Florida and continues to expand in fast-growing suburban areas.
In the Jacksonville area, Daily’s plans an atypical, two-story gas station and convenience store in LaVilla that would include a Bold City microbrewery, restaurant and rooftop bar.
Other developments include a St. Johns County location in the SilverLeaf community and a $3.2 million replacement/expansion of the Chaffee Road South location.
Jason Gabriel of Burr & Forman LLP represents the project in the Knight Boxx Road application.
Daily’s was founded in 1997 and operates primarily in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Gainesville and Broward County, according to its website.
