• Duval County’s unemployment rate edged up slightly in June from May and remains higher than in June 2009, according to state numbers adjusted for seasonality by the Local Economic Indicators Project at the University of North Florida. The June rate of 10.87 percent was up from 10.52 in May and 10.41 percent in June 2009.
