• Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will be the keynote speaker at an event Nov. 9 honoring Tom Petway for his service to the Republican Party. The location has yet to be announced but it will be revealed and tickets will go on sale Friday at www.jaxgop.org. Romney was the Duval County winner in the 2008 Presidential Preference Primary and garnered almost 42 percent of the vote in the nine-candidate field.
