We strive to continue making the Jacksonville Daily Record a destination for Northeast Florida business leaders seeking a trusted and reliable source to provide relevant news, information, data and trends they need to know to thrive and grow in the region’s fast-changing economy.

In gaining a deeper understanding of who our readers are, why, what and how they read us, I noticed a hole in the marketplace for nonprofit news and started to seek ways to further the mission of our advertising partners.

In this video, I describe our new Philanthropy Partner Spotlight feature and 904 Day special edition to benefit local business.

We developed the Philanthropy Partner Spotlight to partner with businesses through cause marketing, giving them an opportunity to share the mission, needs, triumphs and goals of the nonprofit organizations they support.

Nonprofits do the critical work in our community. Businesses and leaders that support them have the ability to promote their company alongside the nonprofit cause to our broad and influential audience. Together we can make a difference.

904 Day began as a grassroots movement several years ago to celebrate all local businesses, especially the small ones.

Similar to small business Saturday in the retail world, the message for 904 Day is simple – Support local business. Shop local, dine local, hire local, do business locally.

The Jacksonville Daily Record 904 Day edition will salute local business with a special edition on August 25th. Deadline to reserve your space and share your business offerings is next Thursday, August 18th.
