In partnership with the local nonprofit Farm Share, Atlantic Self Storage began weekly food distributions seven weeks ago to help its customers who have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the shutdown of nonessential businesses.

About 2,800 people have been helped so far and Atlantic Self Storage plans to continue the effort for the next several weeks, said Mark Skrzypczak, operations director.

“It’s been a great cause and really humbling, but we are grateful we have been able to help some of our customers who are struggling,” he said in an email.

The next distribution is scheduled June 3, with more than 450 families already registered, Skrzypczak said.
