Barnett appointed to aviation authority board of directors

She's one of three attorneys on the seven-member governing body.

Jacksonville attorney Michelle Bedoya Barnett was appointed Thursday by Gov. Ron DeSantis to a four-year term on the Jacksonville Aviation Authority board of directors..

Barnett is a founding shareholder with Alexander DeGance Barnett.

She has served on the Jacksonville Bar Association board of governors since 2014 and will be the association's president in the 2020-21 membership year.

Barnett received a bachelor’s in finance from the University of Florida and graduated from Vanderbilt Law School.

Her appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Jacksonville attorneys Giselle Carson with Marks Gray and Patrick Kilbane with Ullman Brown Wealth Advisors also serve on the seven-member board that oversees operations and policy at Jacksonville International Airport, Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport, Herlong Recreational Airport and Cecil Airport.
