The JBA Kickball League completed the fourth year of its rebirth by crowning a new champion, “The Ballbarians.”
This season saw the most participation and the highest energy level the league has had in the modern era, set to a soundtrack of 1980s and ’90s rock and hip-hop.
Teams from Boyd & Jenerette, Farah & Farah, Morgan & Morgan and Plata Schott, as well as a team of free agents known as “Order in the Sport,” and a ragtag bunch of attorneys who banded together to form The Ballbarians competed week in and week out for the coveted Golden Kickball.
In the most competitive playoffs yet, Order in the Sport edged out Morgan & Morgan in the quarterfinals before falling to The Ballbarians in the semifinals.
Farah & Farah defeated Boyd & Jenerette in the semifinals to advance to the championship game, where The Ballbarians turned in a stellar defensive performance and clinched the Golden Kickball with a 5-0 victory.
