Approximately 2,100 people from the Jacksonville community are expected to attend the annual Martin Luther King Breakfast Jan. 11 at the Osborn Center.

Business and professional people as well as elected officials, including Mayor John Delaney, Sheriff Nat Glover and members of the City Council, will gather to honor Dr. Martin Luther King and his dream of a united America.

Other attendees represent all segments of our cross-cultural community, including African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Filipinos, Christians, Jews and Muslims.

Entertainment will be provided by the Ritz Voices, the 100-member youth chorus who have performed throughout the region.

This year’s color guard will be the all-Marine ROTC unit from Ribault Senior High School.

Individual tickets are $17.50 and corporate tables are $200. Tickets may be purchased by calling 366-6650. Sponsorships are available from Kathy Bolesworth at 366-6675.
