Two major real estate associations, the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors and Northeast Florida Builders Association, held installation and awards banquets last week.
NEFAR held its event Friday evening at the Omni Hotel.
Charlene Perez of Watson Realty was installed as president, replacing Dan Jones of ERA Dan Jones and Associates, who becomes past president.
“It’s been a good year,” said Jones, who has been fighting cancer.
Hank Oltmanns of A Broker’s Choice Realty took over as Multiple Listing Services president.
Award winners included, Mayor John Delaney, Legislator of the Year; Billie Motz of Realty One of North Florida, Realtor of the Year; Russell Grooms of Watson Realty, Residential Realtor of the Year; Chuck Diebel of Koger Equity, Inc., Commercial Realtor of the Year; Michael Hodges of Watson Realty, Property Manager of the Year; Dennis Rust of Showcase Homes of Florida, Affiliate of the Year; Chic Acosta of First South Bank, Affiliate of the Year; Kay Stalvey of Century21 Stalvey-Matthews Realty, Special Recognition; Diane Ward of Coldwell Banker, Special Recognition; Jeanell Wilson of All South Realty, Special Recognition; Mike McCray of Realty On of North Florida, Special Recognition; Wendell Davis of Watson Realty, Circle of Honor; Selby Kaiser of Prudential Network Realty, Circle of Honor; Jim Morgan of Investec Services, Circle of Honor; George Linville of George Linville Realty, Golden R award; William Glenn East of NEFAR, Golden R award; Judy Law of Prudential Network Realty, Humanitarian of the Year; Ernie Rountree of Watson Realty, Silent Angel award; William “Fritz” Sheffield of Sheffield Real Estate, Presidential Lifetime Service, and Dan Jones, Presidential Lifetime Service.

Stephen Edmonds of the Edmonds Company was installed as president, replacing Howard White of North Florida Builders, who becomes past president.
Award winners included, Richard Browdy of Browdy and Browdy, Builder Member of the Year; Bill Wilson of Builders Care, Bill Soforenko Affordable Housing; Tray Parker, chairman of
the University of North Florida/NEFBA student chapter, NEFBA Leadership award and Jonny Moore of Moore Electrical Contractor, Fred King Associate Member of the Year.
