As the construction on the new office comes to an end, and we celebrate the beginning of the next era in NEFBA’s history, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped make the last year so exciting.
Since our groundbreaking ceremony last October, we have been on a 12-month journey to bring years of planning and hard work to fruition. And in true NEFBA fashion, the journey from initial concept to celebrating the ribbon- cutting has been a collaborative and positive experience. The final product speaks for itself.
First, thank you to our generous donors. You have donated nearly $400,000 of cash and in-kind products and services to help offset the cost of construction and furnishing of NEFBA’s beautiful new office. We are fortunate to have members who are committed to NEFBA’s mission of promoting and supporting the construction industry, and the people who earn their living in it. Your donations helped build NEFBA a proper home where we can continue to grow our association.
Thank you to the past leadership of NEFBA who had the vision and wisdom to make this dream a reality. As we enter our 75th year of serving the building industry in Northeast Florida, we have a state-of-the art office in beautiful Southpoint to call home. The custom design is stunning and unique. The site has gorgeous live oaks at the front, and a gem of a backyard and patio at the back. It fits us perfectly.
And finally, thank you to NEFBA’s Executive Committee for giving me the opportunity to serve as the association’s executive officer. The building industry has provided for me and my family for more than 30 years, and it is a special privilege to manage the day-to-day operations of NEFBA. Our past leaders brought us to where we are now, and our future is bright with the new generation of industry leaders. I am proud to be on the team. Thank you.
