AT&T employees mentoring high school students

AT&T is providing Jacksonville high school students with mentoring opportunities to help prepare them for future success.

AT&T employees will team up with 120 students from A. Philip Randolph High School, Ed White High School, Englewood High School, Ribault High School and PACE Center for Girls for Aspire Job Mentoring to share life and career skills.

“Aspire Job Mentoring helps students develop a bigger picture of the ‘real’ world that will, in turn, help them create a vision for their future,” said Steve St. Amand, president of Junior Achievement of North Florida. “Providing students with the opportunity to visit the work world first hand and be mentored by adults who truly care about their future success can make an impact that will last for a lifetime.”

In early 2012, AT&T and Junior Achievement reached the milestone of providing 100,000 job shadow opportunities to students through the AT&T/JA Job Shadow Initiative.
