The city is reviewing site plans for a 6.19-acre commercial project along Pritchard Road in Northwest Jacksonville.

In June, Skinner Bros. Realty Vice President Chet Skinner said his group and The Silverfield Group are under contract to buy property for a commercial retail development for the site at northeast Pritchard Road and Interstate 295, in front of the Perimeter West Industrial Park.

Skinner said he envisions the partnership buying the land by the end of October.

The groups said the site would be a good location for a gas station, quick service restaurant or limited service hotel, or some combination.

Engineer Prosser Inc. requested a service availability letter from JEA for a motel or hotel on part of the site.
