The City’s “Keep Jacksonville Beautiful” program invites residents to participate in a volunteer project to plant flowers and collect litter Saturday at Jacksonville senior centers from 9-11 a.m.

Those Senior Centers include: Hammond Senior Center, 3312 W. 12th St., (cleanup), Moncrief Senior Center, 5713 Teeler Ave., (cleanup), Bennie Furlong Senior Center, 281 S. 19th Ave., (planting/cleanup), Oceanway Senior Center, 12215 Sago Rd., (planting/cleanup) and Leroy D. Clemens Senior Center: 55 N. Jackson St., (planting/cleanup).

In addition, students can earn community service hours towards high school and college graduation by participating. Volunteers 18 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
