My name is Dianne Pittman, I’ve been married to a wonderful man named

Wilson for going on 15 years, we have two cats, Spencer and Harley and we live on the St. Johns River in Welaka, located in Putnam County.

YES, I commute everyday to my office in Mandarin, about an hour and 5 minutes each way. I have the best job in the world. I help families relocate.

I started my 3rd year in real estate January 2002. I tell people I come from corporate America, I spent a lot of years working for other people making them lots of money, and to be perfectly honest, I enjoyed what I did. A national merger by a regional company landed me without a position. The best thing that ever

happened to me, though I did not think so at the time!

With lots of encouragement from my family, I decided to pursue a career in Real Estate. My first year was a struggle, just like it is for many who get into this business, but I managed to close over a million in sales and decided to continue.

I joined WCR in October of 2000, at the insistence of another agent. I began attending luncheons, not quite sure what I was suppose to be doing, but the people seemed nice and the lunch was always good. In January 2001, I was ask by the President of WCR to serve as the

Marketing Chair person. Well since I have a degree in Marketing from University of Georgia, I accepted the position. I have to tell you my time with WCR has been very rewarding. The more involved I have become the more I have gotten from my membership.

The friendships I have developed over the last 2 1/2 years are great. The relationships I have developed with Affiliates in WCR are invaluable. They have educated me about avenues of the real estate

business I could not have learned any other place. Subjects ranging from Mold and Mildew to Finance Options, to

Homeowners Insurance Coverage, Home Warranties, to Business Planning and Development, just to name a few.

I also have gained experience from other real estate agents, always willing to lend a helping hand by giving advice or recommending sources of information.

Our WCR monthly luncheons are great for building these relationships and the programs are always informative. Topics range from Technology Updates, Jacksonville

Housing Partnerships, Top Producer

Panels, The Better Jacksonville Plan, and Safety Issues, just to name a few. The

programs get better every year. I always walk out of a program with something I can use in my life or my business.

Referrals are another great reason to be a member of WCR. I have closed two referrals this past year that have more than covered my cost of membership and my monthly luncheons.

Another reason to be a member of WCR is to pursue your LTG Designation. This designation is recognized by the National association of Realtors to be a step above. I just completed my third course towards my LTG (Leadership Training Graduate) course this week at the FAR convention in Orlando. I learned so much about working with individuals and groups to accomplish goals. I enjoyed the course very much and I am looking forward to the LTG Course being offered at NEFAR in September. One more course after that and I’ll have my LTG Designation.

WCR is a wonderful organization and if you’re not a member, you have a lot to gain by becoming one.

If you wish to discuss membership, just call, I would be happy to answer any questions and help get you started in WCR today.

With a lot of hard work and WCR relationships I am on track to close my business goal again this year. Many thanks to all my friends at WCR!
