North Florida was well-represented in the Aurora and Excel awards presented last month at the Southeast Building Conference in Orlando.
The Sales and Marketing Council, part of the Northeast Florida Builders association, again won an Excel for being the state’s best SMC.
Jacksonville interior designers Rita Williams and Judith Sisler — Sisler-Williams Associates — have three Aurora Awards, one each for residences in Julington Creek, Atlantic Beach and Naples.
Other area Excel winners were Coppenbarger Homes and North Florida Builders.
Arvida won the major award — the Golden Aurora — and also the top Florida award for its “Idea House” in the Watercolor development near the town of Seagrove, on the state’s Panhandle.
The Aurora Award competition is open to builders, architects, interior designers, landscape architects and other home building professionals in 12 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
The Excels are given among Florida’s professionals.
