North Florida’s most famous couple will live in Ortega.

The new Jaguar coach, Jack Del Rio, and wife Linda have purchased a riverfront home which has been on the market for about six months. The original price listed was $2.8 million but it was down to an asking price of $2.68 million.

Keith Combs of Prudential was the agent.

The home was owned by investor David Hicks, and is a large brick home which was moved to its present location two years ago by commercial Realtor Will Parham, who owned an empty Ortega Boulevard lot and put together the property. Hicks bought it about six months ago.

The two-story home offers has six bedrooms, five bathrooms and almost 7,000 square feet, plenty of space for the couple and the three children who live with them. They also have a daughter in college.

The home sits on a 1 3/4 acre lot among other stately residences. There is a 1,200 square foot terrace and a three-car garage.

Del Rio was announced as the Jaguars’ coach on Jan. 17 and his wife moved here three weeks later. They have been renting a home in Deercreek while looking for their own home.
