The local legislative delegation had a busy day Friday with a public hearing in the afternoon and a Chamber of Commerce reception that evening.
Over 60 people appeared before the delegation at the City Council chambers to lobby for funding or other benefits. Legislators didn’t wrap up until 5:30 p.m., then several attended the reception at the stadium’s Terrace Club.
Sen. Steve Wise, who has been serving as interim chairman of the delegation after the resignation of Rep. Mike Hogan, who ran for tax collector, was affirmed as the chair. Rep. Dick Kravitz was elected vice chairman.
Prior to the meeting, the legislators and their staff attended a luncheon co-sponsored by the Museum of Science and History and Daily Record.
