• Don Whalen has been named commercial sales executive with Suddath Relocation Systems. Whalen, with more than 20 years of experience in the Jacksonville market, will acquire new business for Suddath’s logistics services and for corporate relocation, residential and commercial moving. Whalen graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in management.

• Actress, director and author Jennifer O’Neill will share her story of faith and healing Tuesday for the First Coast Women’s Services’ annual fund raiser at the Adam’s Mark Hotel. Tickets are still available for her talk, which starts at 7 p.m. Women’s Services provides support for women who need advice and assistance with their pregnancy. Admission is free, although the group is looking for pledges to help support the 2004 ministry. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 262-6300.

• Sarah M. Greene, president of the National Head Start Association, is the scheduled speaker at the Jacksonville Urban League’s Equal Opportunity Luncheon Wednesday at noon at the Osborn Center.

• The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association is hosting its monthly luncheon Nov. 5 at noon at River City Brewing Co. Florida Bar president-elect Kelly Overstreet Johnson is the speaker. Cost is $18 for member, $23 for non-members. RSVP to Heather Collins at 355-2233.
