The Towers Group, a real estate development company formed by Randy Towers over 20 years ago, has officially changed its name to The Alterra Group, LLC.
“Over the past five years the organization has added new partners to capitalize on the growth that is occurring in the quad-county area,” said Bill Pyburn, the president of the newly formed company. “We are focusing on larger tracts of land that require more organizational support, so we felt it was time to internally reorganize the way we do business. Our focus will continue to be on our partners and on delivering a quality product to the market place.”
Towers Group founder Randy Towers joined with Pyburn and Kevin Troup this year to form The Alterra Group, LLC.
Bill Pyburn partnered with Randy Towers five years ago and is the acting president and oversees the acquisition and sale of land as well as day-to-day operations.
Troup has been with Towers for two years. Troup joined as the organization’s chief financial officer to oversee the financial aspect of the various development entities. Troup holds a bachelor’s of science degree from Wake Forest University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Florida.
The Jacksonville-based company and its partners have developed over 45 neighborhoods comprising over 3,400 home sites in Northeast Florida.
