Builder's Care: adopt a grandma

It's that time of year again. The Builder’s Care Adopt a Grandma for the Holidays program is underway with more than 90 elderly and disabled people in need this year.

Persons or organizations which can provide and deliver a food basket for one or more of the needy should call Builders Care at 727-3443.

Also, remember during your shopping, the person you are shopping for will have food needs after the holiday season. Items with a long shelf life or frozen foods are ideal. Listed below are some suggested items for the holiday dinner and for the future.

Holiday Dinner Items

Frozen turkey breast

Vegetables (preferably canned)

Cheese

Cranberry sauce

Juice

Stuffing mix

Pie or other dessert

Pantry Items

Canned meats

Canned vegetables

Canned fruits

Sugar and flour

Complete frozen dinners

Corned beef hash

Macaroni and cheese mix

Coffee

Soups

Sauces

Pasta and Rice

Tissues

Toiletries

Soaps (body and laundry)
