The sign out front has read “coming soon” for months, but little progress has been made inside Twisted Martini at the Landing. That’s about to change.

The Landing confirmed Monday the Miami-based partnership developing the martini bar will move forward in less than two weeks. An official announcement is expected by the end of the month, where updated project renderings will also be unveiled.

“We know it’s been a while,” said Landing spokesperson Rachel Kaltenbach, “but we have a confirmed lease and you’ll be see a lot of work going on very soon.”

Kaltenbach, who was unaware of Twisted Martini’s lease terms, said the long-delayed start date was a result of the Landing’s change in ownership and subsequent plans for redevelopment.

The bar was originally slated to open in late 2003.

“(Twisted Martini) has been very patient while those details were being discussed,” she said, “but they are ready to move forward. We’re very exited about what they’ll be able to bring to the Landing.”

With a possible mid-fall opening, Kaltenbach said the bar will maintain a large drink menu and also serve “light appetizers.”

“It’s going to be great,” she said “We feel very confident that Twisted Martini will add an entirely new dimension to the Landing.”
