Nominations are sought for the Raymond Ehrlich Trial Advocacy Award, which will be presented on April 23 at the third annual Raymond Ehrlich Trial Advocacy Seminar. The seminar, which was a tremendous success last year, honors former Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Ehrlich for his contributions as a trial lawyer and judge. The Seminar emphasizes the attributes that made Justice Ehrlich a successful trial advocate with the hope of perpetuating those ideas.
The Ehrlich Trial Advocacy Award will recognize annually a lawyer from the local legal community whose career has embodied those qualities to which litigators aspire.
The Award Committee will evaluate applicants based on the qualities that made Justice Ehrlich a role model. These qualities include:
• Steadfast obedience to ethics
• Thorough preparation
• Respect to all participants in
the legal system, always
• Even-tempered
• Aggressive
• Professional
• Driven by what is right, not by
fees or billable hours
• Discerning
• Scholar
• A mentor and willing assist-
tance to those in need
