It is that time of the year again. Time to vote for your Board of Governors and attend The Jacksonville Bar Association’s Annual Meeting.
This year things will be a little different. Our Annual Meeting Dinner will not be held in conjunction with the golf tournament. Due to massive renovations at Deerwood Country Club, the usual facility is unavailable. As you have seen in the past few Bulletins, the golf outing will be held May 20 at Windsor Parke.
Here’s the deal on dinner and voting. Dinner will be held at the Omni May 27. As always we will have a reception from 5-6 p.m. in the first floor atrium. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. in the main ballroom. We will be entertained by a panel discussion moderated by Brad Johnson.
Members of the panel will include Lamar Weingeart, Harry Shorstein, Graham Allen, and the Ghost of Hank Coxe. After the entertainment, the results of the Board of Governor’s election will be announced.
All members of The Jacksonville Bar Association are welcome to vote at any of the following times and locations:
May 13 - May 26 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at The Bar office
May 13 - May 26 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Courthouse, Room 220
May 20 - Noon-5 p.m. at Windsor Parke (golf outing)
May 27 - 4-6 p.m. at the Omni, first floor atrium (Annual Meeting)
Nominee for president-elect is Alan Pickert.
Nominees for the Board of Governors are Robert Devine, G. Ray Driver, Caroline Emery, Michael Freed, Heath Brockwell, Courtney Grimm, Susan Haag, and Blaine McCarthy.
Please keep a few things in mind. The Annual Meeting is a MEMBERS ONLY event. You must send your reservation in writing, either by fax at 399-4854 or by e-mail at [email protected]. If you have any questions, please feel free to call The Bar office.
