• The NFL is hosting two seminars for area college students and the public to give young people an idea of what it takes to have a career in sports. The seminars are scheduled for Nov. 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Edward Waters College and Nov. 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the University of North Florida.

• Jackson Nafziger has been named vice president of EverBank’s Wholesale Lending Division. Nafziger joins EverBank after 14 years with Principal Residential Mortgage, Inc., where he served as vice president of its wholesale lending division. Nafziger will be responsible for expanding the division, first by opening and running the Des Moines, Iowa, branch.

• The Jacksonville Port Authority Board of Directors has elected new board officers, selecting Dr. William C. “Bill” Mason III to serve as chair for a one-year term. The board also elected three other members to serve one-year terms as officers: Ricardo Morales Jr., a general contractor, was elected to serve as vice chair; Marilyn McAfee, a foreign service careerist, was elected secretary; and Jerry W. Davis, a private investor, was re-elected treasurer.

• Southeastern Crane has changed its name to Ring Power Crane to reflect its parent company’s name recognition.

• Marc Little has sold his firm, Marc Little Public Relations, to BL Communications of Coral Gables. Under the terms of the deal, Little will hold partial ownership of MLPR and become senior vice president of the new company.
