Watson Home Builders has sold most of its assets to the Colorado-based company which is operating in this area as Richmond American Homes.
The Watson ownership is retaining some of its land and will now operate as Watson Custom Home Builders.
The bulk of the company’s assets, more than 2,000 lots throughout the area, will now be in MDC Holdings Inc., and the company says it will hire most of the Watson employees.
MDC previously bought Crawford Homes, which has been renamed Richmond American Homes.
