Super Bowl Host Committee vice president of operations Reid Sigmon has accepted a position with the Cleveland Browns. He’ll start April 20 and will serve as stadium and event development director.

His last day with the host committee is April 20.

“I’m very excited to be offered this position and I’m looking forward to getting started,” said Sigmon. “It’s a great opportunity and unlike some of the jobs I’ve held in the past, this one doesn’t have a specific end date.”

Prior to his work with the host committee, Sigmon worked as director of operations for the Tampa Bay Super Bowl Task Force and later served as assistant director of the Tampa Bay Final Four Organizing Committee.

In Cleveland he’ll work directly under Don Renzulli, former NFL senior operations director.

“It’s also worth mentioning that this will be the first time I’ve ever worked in cold weather,” he said. “That should be interesting.”

Sigmon is the second host committee staffer to make public any new employment since the Super Bowl came and went in February. Former host committee president Michael Kelly, announced last month that he would be the leaving for Miami, having accepted an offer to become president of the 2007 Super Bowl Host Committee.
