Several words come to mind when asked to put Mike Langton, managing partner of Langton Associates, in a nutshell. Developer, grant writer, former legislator: each does the trick, but at the same time, doesn’t do justice for the outspoken businessman.
A look at his office may help.
Located on the seventh floor of the Schultz Building on West Adams Street, Langton’s office is admittedly stark, but he said each of his passions are well represented.
“My office used to be very cluttered with the things I had collected over the years,” Langton said. “But when we decided to relocate to downtown from the suburbs about two and a half years ago, I had the opportunity to start over, to boil it all down to what was most important to me. That’s what you see here.”
