Bryan Weber is the managing director of Flagship Communities, LLC, whose affiliates are the development companies for The Ocean Villas at Serenata Beach and VillaRiva, the Riverside condo project that will host the 2005 SunTrust Symphony Showhouse XXX.

How did you get into the business?
He started on the finance side of the business, developing luxury apartment communities, and branched into for-sale luxury Florida condominium communities in 1990.
College?
He has an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BA in economics from Hope College.
What brought you to Jacksonville?
He moved here from southwest Florida to identify and develop new waterfront condominium communities in the mid-1990s, a time when “no new condominiums were even on the drawing boards.”
What does VillaRiva mean?
Says Weber, “VillaRiva is loosely translated as ‘village on the river,’ our positioning for the community as a special destination located conveniently close to all of the lifestyle attractions of downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods, but still a private retreat from the day-to-day activities in the city.”
What is the SunTrust Symphony Showhouse?
The showhouse is the 30th anniversary of a fundraising event organized by the Jacksonville Symphony Guild to benefit their arts and music education programs. As the event host, two of VillaRiva’s condominium homes will be designed by area designers, and attendees can come to see the latest techniques in interior design. The event will be held May 7–29 and past Showhouses have raised over $2 million for the Guild.
Why high rise, waterfront communities?
“It is our specific development focus and what we enjoy doing and do best.”
