Toxic algae streaks the St. Johns

That’s not foam from a boat wake streaming from the Acosta Bridge towards the Landing, it’s a layer of toxic algae that has formed in the St. Johns River during the past couple of weeks. Biologists warn that the toxin can cause symptoms similar to a cold.
