Sitting on a bench in Jesse B. Smith Memorial Plaza on the corner of Forsyth and Newnan streets, Willie Lewis Kennedy plays the national anthem Tuesday morning. Kennedy started playing the trumpet to join a soul band with his brothers and has been playing for 40 years.
