The Florida Federal Judicial Nominating Commission (the “Commission”). The Commission is now accepting applications to fill the following position: United States District Court Judge for the Middle District of Florida.
The application packet includes the following:
• The Application (including the summary and financial statement attached thereto as Exhibits “A” and “B”, respectively); (offered in Microsoft® Word® format)
• The Commission’s Rules of Procedure
• The Commission Members’ mailing information
The original of the completed application must be sent to the Chair of the Commission, Michael J. Grindstaff, with a cover letter identifying the vacancy. A copy of the completed application and the cover letter also must be sent by the applicant to each of the remaining 55 members of the Commission. The completed applications must be mailed (and postmarked) by no later than Thursday, Dec. 15.
The date for the interviews of those applicants to be invited for the interview stage has been tentatively scheduled for Jan. 25 at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Orlando International Airport, One Airport Boulevard, Orlando, Florida in the Third Level Board Room. Those applicants selected by the Middle District Conference to be interviewed will be notified on or about Jan. 11.
