Current and former sports figures, politicians and spectators gathered last week in Ponte Vedra to announce an upcoming charity golf tournament sponsored by the National Football League Coaches Association.

The tournament, Coaching for Success, invites locals and tourists in town for the Super Bowl the opportunity to play in one of 36 six-man teams with NFL coaches and players including Jaguar coach Jack Del Rio, Jaguar quarterback Byron Leftwich and Seattle Seahawk receiver Jerry Rice.

Taking place on Friday, Feb. 4 at the Plantation Country Club, prizes for the top teams will include a baby grand piano, a Hummer and a Porsche.

Tournament proceeds will benefit the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Jacksonville, Edward Waters College Athletic Fund and the Touchdown Foundation of the NFLCA.
