Many think that the Commercial Real Estate Women of Jacksonville group is made up of commercial Realtors with a few affiliates, but that is not the case. Last month’s meeting was designed to educate members and guests to the fact that CREW is made up of mostly affiliates to the commercial real estate industry, with a few commercial Realtors.
They divided everyone into different groups including interior design, construction, development, engineering, finance and law and had a speaker at each table explaining how their discipline fits into the pieces of the real estate puzzle.
“Just within the members of CREW, we could start, design, finance, complete, do the interior and lease an entire building,” said Beth Lipko of Elkins Constructors, who spoke on the topic of construction. “Everyone thinks we are all Realtors, but most members are affiliates to the commercial real estate field and vendors who provide services to the commercial real estate industry.”
CREW recently chose P.A.C.E. Center for Girls as its philanthropic charity, so the P.A.C.E. Center for Girls choir came out to entertain during the luncheon and thank them for their support.
