• For the 13th consecutive year, the Jacksonville Jewish Federation has received a sizable donation from Anheuser-Busch. This year, the brewery gave $10,000 to help support the foundation’s multiple local humanitarian programs.
• Bob Barker of “The Price is Right” will be here next month to help promote real estate sales for developer LandMar Group. He’ll appear at a party for agents who have sold a property between now and Nov. 20.
• The big Holland & Knight law firm has named former Enterprise Florida CEO Darrell Kelley as its chief operating officer. He’ll be based in Orlando.
• The Merrill House will have its grand opening a week from today. The house (the official name is the James E. Merrill History House) is across from the Arena and will be used to show how people lived more than a hundred years ago. The opening will be a big party at $100 a person.
• Anyone heading to Jamaica for business or pleasure might want to give European Street general manager Margaret McKenzie a call. She recently bought and renovated a loft condominium in Negril and is now renting it out for around $600 a week. The loft comes with concierge service and an ocean view and McKenzie promises it’s “macked out like the Ritz-Carlton.”
• The Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art may be looking to take advantage of the big crowd expected for Saturday’s grand opening of the new Main Library. The museum is having a holiday open house Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and again Sunday from noon-4 p.m.
