The Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association honored United States District Court Judge John Moore (second from right) for his 25 years on the federal bench at a luncheon Friday at the River Club. Moore, who plans to work a couple more years, is with Federal Bar President-elect Tysen Duva, his wife Joan and Federal Bar President Martha Bolton. Three former law clerks — Paul Perez, Dan Bean and Ed Trent — were the keynote speakers. Before being appointed to the federal bench, Moore spent 10 years on the state bench in Ft. Lauderdale and four years in the District Court of Appeals in West Palm Beach. “If nobody tells me I’ve lost it, I’ll keep on going,” said Moore.
