Jacksonville-based technology services company DiscoverTec LLC has announced that Jon Baker, Darin Chapman, Mario Luevano and Fred Portugal received their professional certification from the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association .
Baker, Luevano and Portugal achieved the CEDIA Installer Level I certification, demonstrating proficiency in the installation of low-voltage electronics in residential applications including home theater, audio, video, home automation and data networks. Chapman’s Designer certification recognizes his skill in designing individual residential systems that suit customers’ home technology needs.
“Achieving CEDIA certification is an honor in our industry,” said DiscoverTec CEO Donny Lamey. “The certification lets customers know that DiscoverTec CEDIA-certified employees are the very best and most qualified professionals.”
DiscoverTec has more CEDIA-certified professionals on staff than any other technology-based company in Northeast Florida, an accomplishment Lamey says is a testament to the skill and professionalism of the entire company.
CEDIA is a nonprofit international trade association for companies that specialize in designing and installing electronic systems for the home. It has more than 3,000 member companies worldwide that are established businesses with qualifications and experience in this specialized field.
