Members of the Jacksonville Women’s Council of Realtors listened to a presentation by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and the Cummer Museum and Gardens at the group’s last meeting held at San Jose Country Club.

Anthony D’Andrea, branch manager of Wells Fargo, introduced the Stage Coach program and the Great American Homeowner Challenge.

According to D’Andrea, who sources the National Association of Home Builders, 40 percent of people are buying a house for the first time this year. The Great American Homeowner Challenge, led by author David Bach, aims to get 10 million people to buy a house this year, whether they are first-time home buyers, second-home buyers or looking for investment property.

“The Stage Coach is you,” said D’Andrea to the realtors.

The team from Wells Fargo raffled off copies of Bach’s book “The Automatic Millionaire Homeowner.”

The Cummer Museum and Garden’s Janette Vega had a few things to raffle off also. Vega represents corporate partnerships at the Cummer. She handed out two family four-packs of tickets to the museum. She also previewed some of the renovations at the museum.

The Museum is in the process of building its largest gallery, which will be 4,800 square-feet. The new gallery will be more apt to suit traveling exhibitions.

The museum will also renovate its parking lot to include 40 additional parking spaces on the same side of the street as the museum. A cafe will be the last addition.

The next JWCR meeting is May 25. The City of Jacksonville’s Planning and Development Director Mike Saylor will be the guest speaker.
