After several years of restoration work, the Mary Dillon Fountain in Springfield’s Klutho Park will be officially rededicated during a 5 p.m. ceremony Friday. The Springfield Woman’s Club is responsible for securing much of the funding that went into the fountain’s and the park’s restoration. The original fountain was built in 1904. City Council member Pat Lockett-Felder will preside over the ribbon cutting and several other City officials will also be on hand. A champagne reception follows the ceremony.
