Hundreds march against violence

Several hundred people, including Sheriff John Rutherford, Mayor John Peyton and City Council President Michael Corrigan, marched from Springfield to Hemming Plaza yesterday in a show of support for the NAACP’s “March for Life” rally. The event was organized in an effort to stop violence in the community by bringing people together.
